Imagine a world without photography.
A world where cameras have disappeared, where screens no longer exist, where images themselves have been lost. And yet, the phenomenon in which light passing through asmall hole projects the outside world into a dark interior has existed long before the concept of photography emerged, and long before human beings themselves came into existence.
Perhaps even now, your figure as you read this text, or the landscape beyond the window, is unknowingly being projected into some unknown space. Surely, the germ of photography continues to wait somewhere, for someone, at all times.

写真がなくなった世界を想像する。
カメラが消え、スクリーンが消え、イメージそのものが失われた世界。それでも、小さな穴を通った光が暗い内部に外の景色を投影する現象は、写真という概念が生まれるはるか以前から存在している。
今このテキストを読むあなたの姿も、窓の外の風景も、もしかすると、知らず知らずのうちに未知の空間に映し出されているのかもしれない。写真の萌芽は、きっと今もどこかで誰かを待ち続けている。
