Photographer based in Kanazawa Japan
Yukihito Kono was born in 1989 in Kanazawa, Japan, and currently works in Kanazawa. He studied at the London College of Communication and completed a Master of Fine Art Photography in 2015. His artist book "Raster" was selected as one of the best books of the year by Photo-eye, an American photography gallery, in 2014. Kono examines the role of images in contemporary society and how they can be reimagined through artists’ books and installations. In 2017, he opened his own studio/gallery/bookshop, “IACK“ in Kanazawa, Japan.
河野幸人は1989年生まれ、石川県金沢市在住。2011年に渡英し、ロンドン芸術大学ロンドン・カレッジ・オブ・コミュニケーションのファインアート・フォトグラフィー修士課程を修了。社会におけるイメージの機能の探求とその再構築を主なテーマに、河野は今日まで多数のアーティストブックとインスタレーション作品を発表してきた。文学と芸術を異なる地で学んだ彼の作品は、繊細な選択と大胆な偶然性の受容の果てに形成されており、写真の伝統に根差しながらも、ジャンルや時代の垣根を超えた思索に開かれている。2017年には「開かれた書斎」というコンセプトのもと、自身のアトリエ兼ギャラリー&ブックショップのIACKを金沢市にオープン。写真を軸にシームレスに活動する新たな写真家像を模索し、実践する。
